The first image shows the back of a beautifully knitted vest by Judy B. The yoke is "entrelac at an angle" and complements traditional entrelac on the vest's front.

The second image shows the end of a scarf made from Noro's "Silk Garden", a silk and wool yarn, using 4.5 mm needles.

No pattern necessary! Just follow the instructions for the swatch - and make a very l-o-n-g swatch - using garter stitch (all stitches knitted, none purled).
